Functionality Release Updates Enhance Day-to-day User Activities

Serengeti Law, part of Thomson Reuters Legal and provider of Serengeti Tracker™—the legal profession’s most widely used and highest rated e-billing and matter management platform—today launched several improvements to enhance the overall ease-of-use of its Web-based Tracker solution.

Designed to reduce complexity and improve approval workflows, the Tracker financial review page has been split into two separate pages for budget review and accrual review. The two new pages will each display all relevant budgeting and accrual information at a glance, so users can quickly provide their edits or approval without having to navigate several pages.
Enhancements to the invoice auditing process allow clients to make new calculation configurations with options that include the ability to incorporate the entire phase of the budget or opt to receive a percentage-to-budget warning. Users also gain the ability to exclude taxes from all budget audit alerts, set auto-reject capabilities for task code alerts audits, and enforce audit ordering for all budget audits.
Tracker also now integrates even more seamlessly with Microsoft® Outlook®, offering users the ability to open matters, as well as view and mark matter details without leaving the application’s reading pane. Drag-and-drop capabilities enable users to easily transfer or copy files from their desktops, the network drive, and other locations to the Tracker for Outlook add-in.
Additional enhancements include revised timekeeper classification and improved bill to entity (BTE) validation. Tracker clients can enable or disable current classifications or any of the 51 new LEDES 1998B/BI classifications used in invoices, timekeeper rate sheets, and reports based on their clients’ needs. The solution can also be configured so BTE validation can include any or all of the BTE elements.
