PROGRAM MANAGER

Job Summary
Serengeti Law is seeking a program manager with a strong web user-interface design skill set to assist with the development and management of its flagship SAAS product. We are looking for someone with a solid design and program management background. The program manager will work in product development and must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.

Strong writing and organization skills will be a plus when applying for this position. Candidates that can show proficiency for web user-interface layout and design, combined with an ability to develop detailed technical specifications, and manage a product release will be preferred.

Qualified candidates will be asked provide references.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • 2 to 3 years of experience delivering technical projects, preferably in the Software as a Service industry
  • Knowledge of or experience with best practices in user-interface design
  • Exceptionally strong written communication, including writing Technical specifications
  • Proven ability to manage program scope, budget and schedule
  • Must have excellent product and project management skills and demonstrated technical aptitude, including data analysis
  • Software development PM experience
     
Skills
  • Proficient in the following: programs: FrontPage or other Web authoring tool; Adobe Captivate; working knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills; ability to work well in a team
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and proven ability to multi-task

Additional Skills (highly desirable but not required)
  • Knowledge of service oriented architectures and distributed computing a plus
  • Experience working in the legal profession

SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Job Summary
Serengeti recognizes that a core factor to our ongoing success is to continue to search for the brightest software developers, those who are passionate about building great software, and who enjoy the challenges presented in doing so. At this time we are specifically hiring entry and mid-level Software Engineers with industry experience ranging anywhere from zero to approximately four years. The job responsibilities involve web application development using the Microsoft .NET Framework. The position also offers the benefit of full-time telecommuting. If you are a person who enjoys building great software, are a self-motivated, self-disciplined individual with a strong work ethic, and one who relishes the challenge of building cutting-edge software, then this job is a match for you.

Specific Job Responsibilities
  • Create and develop software solutions using Microsoft’s .NET framework, C#, HTML, and other technologies.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the product’s frameworks and tools.
  • Create and execute unit, integration and performance test plans, both manual and automated.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance of production software.
  • Attend regular, periodic developer team meetings at various locations around the greater Chicago metropolitan area
  • Attend occasional meetings at the corporate office in Bellevue, Washington

Required Technical Training and Skills

  • BS in Computer Science or related is required.
  • Competence in object-oriented design and development, using languages such as C++, C#, or Java
  • Knowledge of relational database design concepts and SQL
  • Knowledge of web languages including HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, and CSS

Preferred Skills (not required):

  • Programming experience with Microsoft’s .NET framework (preferred) or J2EE
  • DBMS experience, such as MS SQL Server (preferred), Oracle, or other
  • Experience with NUnit, AJAX, XML, Web Services
  • Familiarity with the following: data structures, code optimization, code re-factoring, design patterns, multi-tiered architectures, database and query optimization, stateless server farm architecture, data conversion, software security, report development, and automated unit testing.
